According to the theory of Thai medicine, the vital energy in the human body moves through the energy channels of Sen Sip, connected with all tissues and organs. The Chinese call this energy “qi”, and the Indians – “prana.” When this energy circulates freely, harmoniously distributed throughout the body – a person is healthy, and any obstacle to the energy flow leads to illness.

The atmosphere should be pleasant and calm, contributing to relaxation and comfort. It is very important that the mood of the patient and the master must be friendly, since during the session there is an exchange of internal energy between the participants in the procedure.
A Thai massage session traditionally begins with a prayer to the Father of Medicine asking for help to free the patient from physical and mental suffering. First, the master works out the muscles in the position of the patient lying on his back, then on the side, after that – lying face down and ends with a sitting position. With gentle pressure on the desired points, he moves from the feet to the circles, body and head. Energy channels can be pressed with fingers, palms, elbows, knees and feet. Thai techniques help activate all muscles, relieve tension and strengthen them, and a final head massage completely relaxes the patient.
Thai massage returns the body to a state of balance and harmony with the help of deep relaxation and an influx of vitality.
